Eight episodes of investigation, recording, and reluctant evidence. The last one.
The night the team met her.
For most of fifty years, the woman now called the Lynn Lady has been waiting in a wood-frame house on the edge of Swampscott for someone willing to hear what she has to say. Her voice has shown up on tape recorders four times across four decades, and every time the recording has gone missing, gotten erased, or — once — caught fire on the engineer’s desk.
The Salem’s Ghosts II team spent the spring of 2024 trying to record her on purpose. This is what happened the night they finally did.
Recorded over six nights between April and June of 2024 inside the actual Swampscott house, with a full cast of voice actors performing the contemporary scenes and field recordings layered over them. The final scene is unedited. We don’t know what’s on it. We have a guess.
